Description
Brazil Yellow Bourbon Coffee
Bourbon - a type of Arabica that was brought in the early 18th century from the Republic of Yemen to the French island of Bourbon (now Reunion), and from there to Brazil. Yellow Bourbon grows only in the mountainous region of Sul de Minas. There are two theories of its appearance: due to a natural mutation of red bourbon and through crossbreeding with typica. Sweet and mellow, Yellow Bourbon has a lot to offer. Even though the Yellow Bourbon beans are not large, this variety belongs to the PREMIUM segment, based on its unique flavor properties.
"Why is Yellow Bourbon more yellow in color?" - customers often ask us.
The berries of coffee trees of this variety are not red as usual, but sunny yellow. This feature is explained by the composition of the soil and the thin skin of the fruit, through which the light flesh is clearly visible. The heavyness of the skin also makes the pulp very sweet (it is easier for sunlight to reach it) and this sweetness, along with the fruity flavors, is transferred to the beans after drying naturally on "African beds". That is why Arabica Brazil Yellow Bourbon is extraordinary and very valuable.
