Honduras is the largest coffee producer in Central America and the third largest coffee producer in the world. The Green Macaw or Guara Verde is the symbol and national bird of Honduras. This is the symbol chosen by Bekamo for the name of its program of cooperation with farmers, assistance in cultivation and training of local producers. This coffee comes from 252 farmers from the country's western departments and has been developed to fit the classic profile of a cup of Honduran coffee, sweet and fruity with a caramel aftertaste.
